Bicycle

Invest in a bike. Getting places is so much easier (weave in and around traffic, disobey road rules). It saves you money as you don't have to spend it on fuel and parking tickets. It will get you fitter, help your general well being and will help with losing weight. It can also allow you to drink alcohol at places as you have a mode of transport home. Trust me, drunk ride homes are a breeze.

Any bike will do - A road bike will probably help the most. You can normally pick these up quite cheap second hand. Give them a quick wash and maybe new rims, tyres and tubes. Then it's good to go.

Pro-tip: A 10k ride will take roughly half an hour!

  1. Riding a bike really is great. Except where I live, cars own the road, and hate sharing it with cyclists. It's very unfortunate.

  3. Useful if you actually live within 15 minutes of work. It was also a great way to get around campus when I was in school.

  5. I love biking. Too bad I live in the middle of no where and work 10000 miles away.

  7. What if it rains a lot where you live? it's very hard to move around on bike if it's pouring.

  9. I stand by the bicycle! Unfortunately I work 15 miles away, and while I could ride it, I'd rather not be dripping with sweat when I walk through the door.
